Paper 1 Prompt: Library Research Report
(Please give a proper title to your paper.)
This paper has two purposes. First, to summarize your library research on the topic of your interest; Second, to prepare essential materials for your final paper, in which you will present your argument on the same topic.
At this point, you have conducted library research to find out what has been said on your topic. (Ref: your Library Research Diary). In so doing, you can observe the ongoing academic conversation, understand the debates or aspects, and pick up the particular vocabulary often employed to discuss the topic (intertextuality). You are required to write a report (or review) of your library research.
Your paper should satisfy the following criteria:
1st, you should summarize the ongoing conversation regarding your topic, including background knowledge.
2nd, you should organize your paper by the sides/arguments or aspects of the academic conversation. (Ref: Paper 1 Structure)
3rd, you should present at least 6 articles/references regarding the academic conversation and demonstrate the intertextuality through quotations.
4th, You should make strategic choices of words, tone, and style appropriate for academic writing.
Professor’s comments for my rough draft: Your paper should be coherent. So, get rid of all the subtitles.
This is a very rough draft, and make sure you go through a serious revision before submitting the final draft.
