The following steps will be used to analyze the dilemma. Students will submit all parts in type written APA format, using college level English and grammar.

Regardless of your ‘actual’ position in the original dilemma/case, write the analysis from the perspective of YOU as the Early Childhood Classroom Teacher. Consider-How might you resolve the dilemma utilizing your current position and Leadership qualities?

Narrative-Provide a narrative summary of the ethical dilemma. Explain the details including the setting and who was present during the dilemma/situation.
Identify the Dilemma- Meaning-What is the dilemma? Here you will state why the situation is a dilemma.
PART 1- 10 points possible: You will NOT use the Ideals and Principles at this point.
1. Determine ALL the stakeholders-
a. Who is affected by the dilemma? Consider all the people involved. E.g. child, other children, teachers, other staff, doctors, parents, etc.
b. What issues involve each stakeholder? Consider that each stakeholder brings a unique perspective to the situation. Explain each of their perspectives.
c. Why does this person care and how does the issue affect him/her?
PART 2- Brainstorm Solutions. 15 points possible.
2. Brainstorm 3 possible solutions. Fully describe each solution.
a. Identify and analyze three ethical solutions. Meaning how might the dilemma be resolved to better serve the stakeholders. (three ethical solutions).
PART 3- Use of the NAEYC Code to support Ethical Solutions 15 points possible.
a. Synthesize and Support your solutions utilizing NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct-Conceptual Framework (Four sections of Responsibilities).
