create a narrative powerpoint presentation of no more than 7 slides to describe how to conduct ethical Research on a specific vulnerable population.

This week’s assignment includes a narrated power point presentation. Remember that the “point” of these presentations to draw the viewer’s eye to the key points. It should be colorful and creative to capture interest. This most students do pretty well and there are templates that will help. The mistake most students make is too many words on a slide. As much as possible, follow the 5/5/5 rule:

No more than 5 words per line of text
No more than 5 lines of text per slide
No more than 5 text heavy slides in a row.
This is a guideline and sometimes limiting to 5 words per line is challenging, but full sentences are not necessary. An outline style is appropriate. Better more slides with a little information than a few slides packed so full the viewer gets lost in the words. The number of slides in the syllabus is a suggestion not a rule. If you need more slides, fine. The narration makes this a little simpler as you can speak to these points and add information that would just clutter and distract on the slide.
If you are struggling with the audio/narration, I will accept your narration typed into the notes page view of your power point. Most students are able to complete the audio narrated version, but occasionally, whether due to older computers or versions of computer software, a student just can’t make it work
