Resumes are in a “constant state of flux” as to myriad of information required, the terminology used, and the technology available. What you write on a resume today could well not be the format accepted in the near future. Take the time to seek professional help to draft your resume. Check with SPC’s Learning Resources for those experts who can assist.
Writing a good resume is a difficult balancing act. How to get the attention of the reviewer, keep your resume short and sweet, but still include enough quality information to make a positive impression. The skill is to decide which ones will be the most effective.
Examples may include, but not be limited to:
-
Written and Verbal Communication Skillsets
-
Ability to Work Independently or as a Team
-
Time and Task Management
-
Organization
-
Technology Skillsets/Familiarization
-
Remote Communication Tools (Media, Zoom, Skype, etc.)
Reminder to research thoroughly the organization that you applying to. Not taking the time to have a clear understanding of the organization’s history, current status, and future goals is indicative of someone not caring or interested. Doing this process correctly will show to the review team your genuine interest, professionalism, and maturity.
