Discipline: Art
Prompt:
This week you have an assigned academic article for which you will writing an annotated bibliography entry.
Academic articles can be difficult to read. The only way reading such articles will become easier is practice and analysis of the way they are typically structured. To aid with your analysis of these readings and to prepare you for your final project, you will be asked to write an annotated bibliography of your assigned secondary readings.
When you are assigned an academic article, your annotated bibliography entry should be completed before coming to class that Tuesday.
Your annotated bibliography entry should include:
a bibliographical citation–use either MLA or Chicago Manual of Style
a summary of the author’s main arguments in the article or chapter
a discussion of key evidence that the author used to support the argument
a discussion of how this article connects to our class materials and/or your experience with visual imagery
the citation for the article is: McHam, Sarah Blake. “Donatello’s Bronze ‘David’ and ‘Judith’ as Metaphors of Medici Rule in Florence.” The Art Bulletin 83, no. 1 (2001): 32–47. https://doi.org/10.2307/3177189.
