Fostering Economic Growth: Old Dominion University’s Jobs & Business Opportunities and their Impact on Hampton Roads

  1. During the first version of your annotated bibliography, you should have found and provided annotated bibliographies for five references related to your op-ed topic. During this stage, you must find FIVE ADDITIONAL sources to build or extend your knowledge on the topic.
    • ODU has a wealth of resources you can leverage, but you may also consult other sources. I suggest you search newspapers available through ODU’s Library https://guides.lib.odu.edu/news for articles and guest essays about the topic, but you can also search Google or your favorite search engine.
    • Download the five (5) documents related to your op-ed topic. Accessing and downloading the five articles/reports should take about 15 minutes. Make sure to save a PDF of each document, not just the URL for the document. Remember, you can always print electronic articles as PDFs.
  2. Once you have the five new documents downloaded, create and post an updated MS Word document with the ten references and an annotated bibliography for each reference. Annotated bibliographiesLinks to an external site. are brief (100 words) reference descriptions. (60 minutes)
    • Use the same document you used for the first annotated bibliography (open file that’s the first draft)
