Select a non-American work read in this class and locate three respected scholarly sources on it or the author. Review and cite these sources in MLA format. 500-1000 words. Due Feb. 22.
A source review should include 1) the author, 2) a summary of their work, 3) the intent of their work, and 4) a judgment of its value to you and your paper. If you select a source and find that it is utterly useless, don’t worry: negative reviews still count. Find three sources on your author, the time period in the country during which it was written, or the work itself (hit the library or STOR) and see if they will be worthwhile.
You will need to cite at least TWO sources aside from the work itself for your Midterm Paper, so finding three for Essay One should make writing that Midterm so much easier. MLA formatting guidelines can be located through PurdueOWL. Please make at least an attempt to cite correctly, as incorrect citations (or worse, a lack of citations!) are a fast way to lose points. This is the format I would like you to use for Essay One:
Name, Student #, Date of Paper
1. CITATION
1. Tell me what you read, summarize it, and tell me why it can/cannot help you.
2. CITATION
