Choose two journalistic ethical guidelines – one that you agree with AND one that you disagree with/think could be improved.

Consider the readings we have done thus far with special attention paid to the ethics guides and Weston chapters. Choose two journalistic ethical guidelines – one that you agree with AND one that you disagree with/think could be improved. In 1,200 words, explain your choices. Use examples from your own life or from class in order to illustrate why you made your selections.

This paper should be roughly 1,200 words, double-spaced, with a proper header and consistent APA citation. It is recommended that you follow a traditional essay format: Introduction, Body Paragraphs, Conclusion. There must be a references page at the end of the essay!

I attached the two sources/ readings that need to be cited for the essay that I have chosen which are the readings from class. I agree with the journalistic guideline that there should be a principle of minimizing harm agreement, so this should be included in the guideline I agree with. The journalistic guideline, I disagree with and think should be improved on is the one where it says to maintain strict objectivity in journalism and for reporters/journalists to detach their personal beliefs and emotions. This is an area that can be improved on because of a false balance in reporting and to help the public understand.
