In the torn Veil, Kwame is chosing to abandon his traditional self by rejecting the cloth woman(his wife) for a frock lady( the new bride) whos i more educated and more aligned with his new identity. These women are symbolism for the both identity. and his dimise represents he must completely die in order to embrace his new identity.
