Nana Adakus story Antcipation represent an era where colonial legacies are starting to disapear and there is prosperity back and people are re -embracing their traditional roots, thats what the Kings choosing of awoman he was once married to displays. In the torn Veil, Kwame is chosing to abandon his traditional self by rejecting the cloth woman(his wife) for a frock lady( the new bride) whos i more educated and more aligned with his new identity. These women are symbolism for the both identity. and his dimise represents he must completely die in order to embrace his new identity.
