Write an introduction to your position argument that is at least one hundred words.

Obviously, this introduction is going to be revised and will change with the rest of the essay’s development. However, we are creating a rough sketch to start the writing process.

The effects of social media on teenage girls affect girls all over the world. Comparing their bodies to what they see online when in reality it can be edited or just the angles of the camera, isn’t just about bodies or looks; it can also encompass the way someone lives and what they can afford. It can be very damaging to the way a person sees themselves or the standards at which they think they have to be found appealing to anyone. Or they may feel they don’t measure up to the “standards” girls are held to, as social media often portrays things differently from reality. Lying in bed just scrolling through pictures of the “perfect” girls who seem to have no insecurities or problems, wishing they looked like that, when in fact everyone has their own problems to face, can increase anxiety and sometimes even lead to depression. (This is my position)

In the introduction you need a hook,  supporting information. context on what the topic is, and a thesis

Try and make it intesesing and add something new to the topic

It also is just a draft, so it doesn’t have to be perfect
