Healthy
People 2030 Analysis Paper Part 1 is a scientific analysis paper applying the
theories and concepts covered in the course to your selected Healthy People 2030
objective.

Provide a brief summary of your
selected Healthy People 2030 objective
·
Explain why achieving this objective
is important to public health in the United States and, specifically Arkansas.
This should be informed epidemiologic research published in the literature on
your objective/topic.

Describe key health behavior changes that
are recommended to achieve your objective as well as potential factors (e.g., predisposing,
enabling, and reinforcing factors; perceived barriers and benefits) to carrying
out these recommended health behavior changes. This should be informed by BOTH
qualitative research as well as epidemiologic research on your objective/topic.

Critique the appropriateness of the
qualitative data collection methods used in the literature that you reference

Apply the Social Ecological Model by
McLeroy et al, 1988 to categorize at least 2 factors at each level that can
influence achieving your selected objective. The factors discussed should be supported
by qualitative and/or epidemiologic research.
Format
No less than 2 and no more than 4 typewritten pages
(cover page and reference page do not count towards the page requirement).
Paper needs to be double spaced, font size no smaller than 11 and no larger
than 12, 1-inch margins [sides, header, and footer], Calibri or Arial font, and
submitted via Black Board to the instructor by the due date. The paper should
have a cover page and a reference page (APA format is required). You should
appropriately incorporate a minimum of 4 references. DO NOT place pictures, graphs, charts, or tables in your paper.
References
Your
paper should cite at least
four peer-reviewed journal articles on qualitative and epidemiologic
research about your Healthy People 2030 topic/objective to cover the
requirements of this analysis paper. Note on References taken from a website:
These references in addition to being cited as required by APA in the
reference/bibliography page of your paper. The url alone is not sufficient. Please note that Wikipedia and other
related sites should not be included as one of your sources.
Professional
articles from the Internet must be full text; and, must have a
reference/bibliography citing its’ sources at the conclusion of the
article. Do not use your lecture notes
as a source or the instructor as a reference in the paper. A maximum of 2
short (less than 20 words) direct quotes from referenced work are permitted.
It is best to use your own words to summarize the content. References should be
in APA format.
