Background/Introduction (Research Proposal)/Literature Review (Research Proposal)

Please submit the Literature Review section here. Also, make sure you include an introduction paragraph to introduce this section.

The literature review is an overview of your research topic that includes previous research studies on your topic. Also, it may include relevant theories and gaps in the literature.

This section should be no more than 5 pages and must include at least 20 references within the last 10 years (mostly peer reviewed journal articles).

  1. Who is your target population (females, African Americans, transgender, etc.)
  2. You may what to narrow the target population age group (12-14, 10-13, 21-25, etc.) to be more specific.
  3. What are you trying to find out (the problem)? For example, if your topic is human trafficking, what do you want to know about human trafficking? Do you want to know, how often victims utilize mental health services once they are rescued?
  4. Are there other studies, on the utilization of mental health services among human trafficking victims (literature review)?
I wanted to do the paper over beauty standards, but there are other choices, such as:
Obesity as an obstacle in social life: fatshaming
Civil rights: shall they be explained?
-fighting racism
Women’s rights and trans peoples rights

I did attach an example of a research proposal.
