you will work one-on-one with a student who has an individualized education program. The student may be someone in your own class who has particular special needs. You will provide a synopsis of the student’s background including information on his or her identities, communities, literacy skills, and interests/attitudes/dispositions in reading and writing. Using a variety of assessments, you will provide interventions throughout the semester and then demonstrate what the student (and you!) have learned.
