Subject: Digital Humanities: critical cartography and theories of mapping.
Half of your presentation should be to present this book/project to your classmates; this should be
more than a summary! Your presentation of the project should include an evaluation based on what
you’ve learned throughout the course. The second half of your presentation should build on your
evaluation and propose a critical cartography project of your own. This proposal can be for the
same site, a new site, or multiple sites. You can build on the book/project you evaluated, or you
can challenge it and suggest a different approach altogether. Whichever path you choose, you must
ground your proposal in clear reasoning and suggest how someone or a team would accomplish it.

You will be expected to submit a final report on the group project within 48 hours of your
presentation. This is your opportunity to show your contribution to the research and expand on
readings and ideas that you thought were most pertinent. A 10-minute presentation necessitates
that your group will compromise and leave out many details or parts of your individual research,
so this report is your opportunity to demonstrate your perspective and discuss something that
interested you but you did not have time to address in the presentation.
