Book: Smoke but No Fire: Convicting the innocent of crimes that never happened. By: Jessica S. Henry
1. Book analyses: For each of the two books you read this semester, you will write a 5-7 page analysis. While specific instructions may be given for a particular book, below are the guidelines to be followed for each analysis.
– 5-7 double-spaced pages, not including a separate title page with the name of the book and your name.
– Include any citations used in addition to the assigned book within the text and at the end.
– Describe in 3-4 pages the overarching problem(s) discussed in the book.
– What implications for policy and for practice do you feel are important to address the problem(s)? These may include reviewing the ones provided by the author, and should also include your own. Spend about 2-3 pages on this.
– In 1-2 pages, discuss your major reactions to the book, including any implications for how you will conduct your own work.
