Requirement 2: Research Brief
Each candidate is required to obtain instructor approval on a topic that is a relevant, contemporary professional issue
in school psychology focusing on an intervention. The intervention/topic should be one of interest to the candidate. A
candidate is required to research the intervention/topic and identify three (3) data–based articles from scholarly
journals (e.g., School Psychology Review, School Psychology Quarterly, Journal of School Psychology). The
candidate will then synthesize the data collected and produce either a practitioner conversation or poster summarizing
the intervention/topic. The manuscript must adhere to the publication guidelines of the American Psychological
Association (7th ed.) and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) convention presentation
