Evidence-Based Practices in Corrections and The Risk Principle, The Need Principle, and The Responsivity Principle (RNR).

Information about the course this assignment is for:

Students will have a thorough understanding of the General Personality and Cognitive Social Learning Theory

(GPCSL), and three of its primary principles: The Risk Principle, The Need Principle, and The Responsivity Principle (RNR). This will encompass familiarity and competency with the Level of Case Management Inventory

assessment tool. Students will be exposed to past criminological theories which laid the foundation for GPCSL.

Finally, students will have a deep understanding of how and why all other evidence-based practices in corrections relate to the R-N-R principles.

Research paper

As to the topic, students may choose to take a more in-depth look at either

The Risk Principle, The Needs Principle, or The Responsivity Principle, particularly as to policy implications.

Specifically, provide illustrations or examples of how Hennepin County in the State of Minnesota and other

programs are adhering to this principle, and illustrations of non-adherence.

I would like to go more in-depth on The Risk Principle and The Needs Principle

of RNR and talk about Hennepin County’s assessment tools used in juvenile services using the YLS and RAI.

I will provide a website link to Hennepin County’s website once the order is confirmed. I have also provided a list of references and sources to use.

This paper should be five pages in length, not including cover page and references. This paper must adhere
