I have also included the main goal of this dissertation: The main goal of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of therapeutic practices regarding children of divorce in two distinct cultural and societal contexts. It will also observe the long-term impact that these therapeutic interventions had on psychological, emotional, and social aspects in adulthood. Through examining therapeutic approaches, societal attitudes, and governmental resources towards therapy and divorce in both countries, this study will seek to identify the better practices and the downfalls of both countries. Ultimately, this research aims to provide insight for therapists, individuals, and policymakers to improve the therapeutic practices and interventions that are being recommended to children experiencing divorce, which will lead to higher wellbeing in adulthood in both of these nations.
