As noted in Chapter 1 of Homeland Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection, current resistant efforts must take on a more holistic approach, one that considers and incorporates two different types of resilience: structural and operational. Therefore, for this assignment, describe how a specific private sector entity operating in one of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors would approach and carry out both of these types of resiliency in a way that produces a system that is better able to absorb the impact of an event without losing the capacity to function concerning homeland security.    

Technical Requirements

• Your paper must be at a minimum of 5 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit).

• Include/State/Highlight an “Introduction” and “Conclusion”.

• Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is to use at least two scholarly sources per page of content.
• Type in Times New Roman, 12 point, and double space.
• Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework. 
• Points will be deducted for using Wikipedia or encyclopedic-type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.
