For this essay, you are going to choose and complete your own literary criticism. Choose yourtext (if you’re doing poetry, you may need more than one poem depending on its length) andliterary criticism lens. Then, apply that lens to the work and write an analysis using textualsupport and other scholarly articles to support yourself

Psychological criticism .
1. Reference to the author’s personality is used to explain and interpret a literary work.
2. Reference to literary works is made in order to establish, biographically, the personality of theauthor.
3. The mode of reading a literary work itself is a way of experiencing the distinctive subjectivity orconsciousness of its author.This theory requires that we investigate the psychology of a character or an author to figure out themeaning of a text (although to apply an author’s psychology to a text can also be consideredbiographical criticism, depending on your point of view). 

You will need to create a stance on your text and defend it. Please go in-depth and beyond just repeating what hasbeen said in class; create a well-supported argument using close reading and in-depthanalysis.
