1.Write out 12-15 questions containing open, closed and one hypothetical question. Be sure you addd in follow-up questions. Include a question about the American Dream and whether it played a part in interviewee’s decision to come to the USA.
2. Identify an interviewee. Explain the general nature of the questions to ensure that they will be willing to respond to answers. Assure them they will remain anonymous. Request their permission to record the interview. If they are uncomfortable recording the interview, take notes.
3. Arrange the questions in logical order. Ask easiest questions first. Ask them about their journey or adjustment to America. Ask them if they embraced the idea of the American Dream before their arrival and today in their current life. Maintain confidentiality.
4. We do not need to know who the person is or what your relationship to them is. Write out the questions and the responses and submit in an interview format.
5.Share a few words about the most memorable part of the interview at the end of the interview.
