Choose a current news topic/item that is relevant to one of these important health concerns.
Once you have chosen a current news item, consider the various challenges that affect population health today. For this discussion, either choose to research and write a well-supported response, or attach a 4-5 minute audio recording of yourself discussing the following:
- Describe what the population health problem is and why.
- Describe what aspects of a population health approach are being used to address the problem
- Discuss managerial tools that might be used to address the problem.
- Discuss why you think it is important that these population health approaches are being used to address this public health problem.
- Enhances prevention and health promotion
- Seeks to improve quality
- Expands insurance coverage
- Promotes community and population health activity
