The final assignment in this unit is to create an annotated bibliography. Your first step is formulating a research question. The subject of your question is your own choice, but it must be a serious question that can be properly researched.

Create a Word document in MLA8 format which summarizes how your research went. While this does not need to be a formal essay, it will need a title and multiple paragraphs. Your paper should be more than one page long but no more than two.

For example, what topic did you start out with, and then how did you narrow it down to come up with your research question? How did the search process go? Did you have difficulty limiting the number of responses so you could zero in on one topic in particular? How did you decide which papers were worth a second glance and which were not? Did your question change as you learned more about your topic? What have you learned during this process?

You do NOT yet need to cite the sources and summarize your sources in this paper. That will come later. In this assignment, you are simply documenting your research process.

You will see two examples of this assignment that made a B or better in a previous class when you click on the STEP 3 assignment link.
