The topic I am writing about is Las Vegas veterans and their lack of awareness and use of the VA healthcare system (the problem). Many veterans are not made aware of all the benefits they’re entitled to by the VA. For the solution, I need to write about how local agencies (Nevada Department of Veteran Services and Veteran Service Officers) and the local government are assisting veterans in Las Vegas. I need to stay mostly community-specific, but I would like to talk about the Pact Act as one of my annotations.

Each annotation contains two paragraphs: a summary and an assessment of the source (described in the following section).
For your annotated bibliography, you will find five scholarly or academic sources. (You should begin your research this week and continue building your resource collection next week.) At least one of these sources must have been published in the past year. These sources will be the building blocks for your essay, so be sure to spend time searching for sources, reading critically, and evaluating the relevance of each source.
Begin your annotated bibliography with your introduction to the problem-solution paper. This introduction represents a draft that you will further develop over the next few weeks.
For each source, provide the following.
- The APA style reference
- A one-paragraph summary of the relevant sections of the article written in your own words
- A one-paragraph assessment of the source containing its credibility, its relevance to your essay topic, an explanation of what will be used from the article and where it will be used in your essay, and an explanation of how the source connects with other sources in your annotated bibliography.
