Objective of This Assignment
The response paper is designed for students to respond, with their own rigorous argument, to the ideas and issues they are encountering in the course readings.
Logistics
- Your Response Paper should be 2-3 pages total.
- The assignment should be in Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced, with standard 1-inch margins.
- Only the course name and number and the student name should appear on the first page.
- The assignment should be in APA format
- The assignment should be submitted as an attached Microsoft Word file to this assignment
- The assignment is due by the end of Learning Module 2

Directions:
This module, we are studying two major ethical systems: Utilitarianism and Kant’s ethics. These are two very different ethical systems.
Compare and contrast these two approaches to ethics. How are they similar? How are they different? Why?
Some further directions:
- Be sure that your paper also explains the main idea of the ethical systems you are talking about — Utilitarianism and Kant’s ethics — very early in the paper.
- Be sure that your paper looks like a traditional paper. It should have an introduction paragraph, several body paragraphs, and then a conclusion paragraph.
