Each of the two cases included in the outline should adhere to four criteria: (a) relate to the student’s selected Case Analyses Topic, (b) be sport- or leisure-related, (c) be “decided” (Note: Cases that are “dismissed”, “settled out of court”, or ruled as “summary judgment” will not be approved), and (d) have been tried beginning no earlier than the year 1980 (Note: Should a student identify a particularly valuable case having been tried prior to the year 1980 that meets the above-described criteria, the instructor will consider an exception). Students will provide a bulleted-point outline of each of the two cases planned. The outline should include information related to the facts, issue(s), decision/ruling, and reasoning of each court case. This assignment should include a cover page with the following information: title of the assignment, student name, course name and number, current date, and instructor name. Further, formatting for each case should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins and typed in 12-point Times New Roman font.
