Background: The company is called Robins and Morton, a commercial general contractor, which has a main focus on constructing health care facilities. My internship was located in North Miami at a University of Miami Ambulatory Care Center Sole Mia.
Prepare a report with the following information and the rubric for this assignment to review my expectations for this report:
- Background of the company you are working
- One page discussion of the company’s estimating procedures (refer to OP-180 file
- One page discussion of the company’s scheduling procedures (refer to OP-050 file)
- One page discussion of the company’s safety procedures (refer to file linked “OSM040”)
- One page discussion of the company’s quality control procedures (Quality control consit of inspections being conducted. If items are missing, not completed, damaged, or not correct, observations are created and sent to trade supervisor to remediate issues using an app called Procore.
- One to two pages explaining how does your work fits the four topics discussed above
- Final Feedback of your work experience and how this course helped
- Recommendations for future teachings of this course.
This is a mandatory assignment that should be submitted, worst-case scenario, one week before the end of the term. But you will be wasting a great opportunity of having feedback from me in order to refine and have a final report that you will be able to share as proof of work for future employment. Think about having me as your mentor through this process.
