My Writing Style Example (Not the subject of this essay)

The great Atlantic slave trade brought about 11 million Africans to the Americas. The forced migration across the Atlantic that brought Africans to slavery in the Americas is one of the greatest examples of appaling and gruesome behavior stained forever in European and American history. We as historians who look to the past to not repeat what has happened are fortunate to have such horrifying and raw testimonies of the middle passage. As it is said in the chapter even the “slaughterhouse” of events most had to go through on these ships did not destroy the justified spirit of most of these Africans; and the spirit of their African cultures endured even the worst acts of human history. Yes, the seasoning and diminishing of their natural human will did modify their methods of coping with the new life. As it is mentioned in the text, a valuable question arises on how African culture which was greatly disturbed from the slave trade, resided even after the greatest hardships of man kind and continued to prosper and unfold itself in different ways to the America we have today. Oral history is one of the most vast traditions in African culutre. As stated in the readings, European medicine was just not as finely tuned, with many deadly misconceptions from the mad minds of these so called intelligent and rich people. If you want a true definition of wealth it settles and shows within the health of an individual. That’s the big difference between Europens and Africans at the time. European history lives in written history, a falsified guide taught and embedded into the masses while you have Africans with oral history. Actual gathering of humans to sit and discuss what is right for them with factual and lived experience and evidence! Not what you think is right, and turn a blind eye like a sheep, accepting what is said to you without any actual truth backed on it like the Europeans lived. In conclusion, one of the greatest testimonies of human nature recorded in recent history will in hopes forever change the course of future human history as we learn to evolve from those barbaric and mindless acts of wealth and follow our heart and love for people, not against anyone else, living in harmony as African culture did once before and remembering the motherland that we ALL originated from.
