Although charcoal can aid in removing stains, its mostly due to its abrasive factor and based on studies the level of stain removal is not any more significant than other non- charcoal-based toothpastes or even just brushing in general without toothpaste at all. Focus will also be put on the aspect of silica and enamel.
Silica is considered a natural and safe abrasive ingredient that can aid in removing
surface stains. Abrasiveness factors of both charcoal and silica will be covered, and comparison of
abrasiveness to other abrasive ingredients commonly used. Charcoal is considered more abrasive than other commonly used whitening toothpaste ingredients.
Charcoal shows a lower whitening effect than other whitening options and is considered less safe than other alternatives due to the charcoals abrasive properties.

I would use it if looking for a good safe toothpaste option, however, would not personally recommend as using as your everyday, multiple times a day toothpaste due to abrasive properties and enamel wear and would recommend more as an occasional or every other/couple day toothpaste.
Recommended for patients looking for a cruelty free and vegan toothpaste brand as well as patients that may have a sensitivity to sulfates, or wanting to avoid some of the other ingredients this product is free from such as triclosan or parabens.
