we will use the lens of cultural humility to explore one critical element of
your professional identity: your social location and the implications of your
personal identities for your work. In Practice I,[i]
you started the process of reflecting on your positionality in the context of
your agency. Now, as you prepare to
enter the profession, this assignment will consider how your practice of
cultural humility has evolved during your time at Silver and the application of
these ideas to your future work as a professional social worker. In their
article on the application of cultural humility to social work practice and
education, Fisher-Borne and colleagues (2015) propose four categories of
questions to guide this critical self-reflection process (Table 2, pg. 176,
included below). As this course focuses on your individual professional
identity, the present assignment will focus on two of these categories: 1) Essential
