For my senior thesis paper, I plan on researching the influences adults have on youth sports participation and its potential outcomes. I will be drawing from my personal experiences of not participating in sports until later in my life, which has kept me hungry and has led me to a successful college career, particularly as a top college Long snapper. In order to examine this I will read published studies in journals such as the Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology. I will also be interpreting data, statistics, and primary sources from reputable sports organizations like the National Alliance for Youth Sports. My goal is to answer the question of how the attitudes and behaviors of adults involved in youth sports impact the physical, emotional, and social development of children. I am especially interested in this question because I am a big brother and my sibling’s success is something I care so much about. My own experience highlights the importance of understanding the role of adults in shaping youth sports experiences and their long-term impacts they have on individual development.
My annotated bibliography for my senior thesis paper. I need to do well so I can graduate. 15 Scholarly Sources. MLA format. Alphabetical order.
For your annotated bibliography you should have at least 15 scholarly sources, cited correctly in your chosen format (APA, Chicago, MLA). (in exceptional cases you may have less than 15 but you MUST discuss this with me over Zoom ahead of time–this might be the case if you are using large numbers of scholarly monographs/books rather than articles and/or doing a creative project). Please watch the lecture, review the handout in Module 1 as well as the link page in the module on how to create an annotated bibliography and why. Additionally, you MUST provide me access to your Google Doc as editor as part of this assignment. Please watch the tutorial on Google Docs if you do not know how. I will not grade the assignment until you have shared editor access.
feel free to communicate with me if you have questions. sources must be scholarly with writing under each one. also must have a page number at the top right.
