Based on what you learned in class and from working on the Sample AB analysis, you will develop your AB First Draft for your research project and submit it here by the deadline.
Requirements
You must use the same finalized research topic which you decided during the first week
If you submit an AB First Draft with an unapproved research topic, it will be grade as 0.
Put your research question at the top of your AB First Draft using the following formula: What is the best X (e.g., way, method, strategy, treatment, plan, etc.) for Y (problem-solvers) to treat/mediate/support/reduce/increase (use whatever verbs suitable in your own research context) Z (intended victims) in/at/from A (specific location/site).
You must include 9 complete “entries” of 9 sources in total.
Each entry = APA reference citation of the source + Summary of the source + Evaluation/Function of the source + Connection to other sources
Summary = In your own words, what is the source about?
Evaluation/Function = In your own description, why is this source useful to you for your own research project? What function(s) does the source perform? Any specific examples?
Connection = How are different sources connected to each other in terms of shared functions (e.g., X and Y all provide evidence to support the solution; however, X’s evidence comes from statistical analysis while Y’s evidence comes from narrative analysis)?
If source X is connected to source Y, indicate and describe this only in the entry for source X. You don’t need to repeat your description on the same connection between the same sources.
For each entry, mark the summary portion in blue, the evaluation portion in purple, and the connection portion in red.
The 9 sources, together, should cover, to the best possible extent: what the problem is, one or more causes to the problem, one or more effects of the problem, and one or more solutions to the problem.
It is natural for a source to perform multiple functions (e.g., Source A can provide information on both causes and effects); in this case, indicate and exemplify this in the Evaluation section of the Source A.
