Make a well supported original argument on a matter of historical significance pertaining to the interaction between two different civilizations or regions of the world during the medieval period.
The term “interaction” should be interpreted in a flexible way: it might include borrowing, exchange, collaboration, conflict, tension, or even perceptions of the other. These interactions might be in political, social, cultural, economic, or other spheres.
Explore the different possibilities and come up with a question that interests you. You want your research to be driven by your curiosity to find answers in all their complexity and relay those findings to your readers/audience.
Be sure to develop a clear how/why research question of sufficiently narrow scope to focus your research.
