(5) Writing Assignment #3: Students are to answer the writing assignment question with critical analysis. These questions are based on the textbook readings. You should be writing in your own words and making the connections. The goal of these assignments is to encourage critical thought and analysis. In order to attempt to earn credit for your assignment, you must write at least one full written paragraph with citation and include a works cited or bibliography page. I will not grade assignments that do not fulfill the page minimum and you will receive a 0 for your grade. Answers should be double spaced with one-inch margins. Do not rewrite the question and only put your name on the top of the first page for any source that you use, inclusive of your textbook. You do not need a title. You must use citation for any sources that you reference in assisting you in writing this paper and they must be legitimate sources (therefore, you may not use Wikipedia or Sparknotes, etc. Students are responsible for determining and proving the credibility and accuracy of the information they use in course assignments, and cannot reasonably assume the lack of errors or inaccuracies particularly in such online sources as Wikipedia). You may not download a paper from the internet; you cannot use ChatGPT or any form of A.I. nor may you purchase a paper on the internet – I will know if you did. Also, you may not just “copy and paste” from any webpage. You will receive a zero for the paper if this is done or if you have cheated in another manner or plagiarized and you will be reported to the administration. Academic dishonesty is not tolerated. The purpose of these assignments is for you to use your analytical abilities and make assessments. There are some guides about what plagiarism is posted on Brightspace. Late papers will only be accepted in extreme situations and you must speak with me first. Students must submit their answers to the Writing Assignment #3 Drop Box by 11:55 p.m. on March 31st, which can be accessed in the Assignment Tab on Brightspace in order for their assignments to be graded. Assignments not submitted on time will not be graded and will be considered as not completed. The student will earn a “0” for that assignment. Also, you may not re-do your assignment once you have earned your grade. Extra credit is not offered in this course. I encourage you to not wait until the last minute to submit your assignment.
