Your third essay will be in first-person, but it should be persuasive/argumentative. Please choose a position to argue (for or against) something. 

For example: The United States should provide veterans with increased benefits to avoid issues in mental health, homelessness, and poverty..

For example: With increased violence in United States schools, automatic rifles should be banned for numerous reasons.

Your essay must:

  • Argue your position without relying on research. So, make sure this topic is something that you know about and have a passion for.
  • Nothing should be taken offline, from a book, article, etc. and presented as your own.
  • This must be in first-person (use “I” primarily, but it is OK to make general statements, like “Veterans that I know would benefit from having better access to health care” as an example.)
