How being diagnosed with depression and spending tie in the psych ward shaped me as a person. Especially being I am immigrant from Eritrea where mental problems is not a thing.

 I want it to grab the reader’s attention by including something interesting, like a random fact or metaphor, to make them want to read more. The second paragraph should relate to my personal story. There might be more details in between, but I want the conclusion to connect back to the introduction. I want the essay to show huch I have learned through this experince and how much it has shaped my prespective on     life, as well as how I learned to ask for help. Include dialogue such as this “Every fifteen minutes there is a soft knock on the door. They ask, concern in their voice, “Hey, are you doing okay in there?” The clinical white walls in this psych room give off the impression that they are absorbing periods of introspection and doubt. “I’m fine,” I respond, trying to sound convincing despite the turmoil inside.”  This is a common app application essay and this is the prompt “The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?”
