Individual Debrief Report
Debriefing is an important, although often overlooked, part of any project. With hindsight, we can often learn more about a project after rather than during its execution. This individual report asks you to identify what went well, what could have gone better, and what lessons can be taken forward for the future. Incorporate personal, academic, and entrepreneurial perspectives to contextualize the project process and use Gibb’s reflective cycle to structure the report into the following sections:
1. Description: A clear but brief outline of the original project goals, key activities undertaken and a breakdown of each team member’s individual contributions.
2. Feelings: This section should also be brief, outlining emotional reactions you had during the project. What were the highs and lows, and why? What does that reveal?
3. Evaluation: Provide a balanced appraisal of the project’s activities and outcomes. How did it go? Did you achieve the original goals? What went well and what didn’t?
4. Analysis: Why did the project go the way it did? What contributed to the success and challenges? How well was the project managed and how could it have been improved?
5. Conclusions: What were the most important discoveries and lessons you learned from the project and why? These can relate to working in teams, the business or entrepreneur you researched, or reflections on entrepreneurship in general.
6. Action Plan: How will you apply lessons from the project to future projects and professional activities?

Key Things to help write out the individual report
In a group of 6 we was required to contact, interview, research and analyze a small business of our choice with fewer than 50 employees located within the United Kingdom, preferably London for ease of research.
The purpose of the project was to understand the intentions, behaviors and experiences of small businesses and their owners / managers, as they relate to business growth and development, and to apply your research abilities and creativity to critically analyze their market, operations and identify solutions to challenges they face.
We ended up choosing to interview Bruno Rodriguez, CEO of David Cleaning Contractors: a cleaning company in the UK, operating in London
Bruno Rodriguez was a family member of Laura (one of my group members) We conducted the interview on Microsoft teams and all group members were all in the university
I was in charge of formulating the questions for my part of the project, this was – Vision and assessment : What is the business vision for growth and how likely are they to realize their vision? What are the biggest challenges that they face? In your assessment, what is the overall health of the business? Where is the business currently located in the organizational life cycle?
I specifically questioned Bruno with specific questions that allowed me to answer the questions for my section of the project (Vision and assessment) I also doubled checked everyone else questions and went back and forth with team members to ensure their questions were good enough to get as best of an answer as possible for their part. I also went out of my way to find additional research (tax filings on you.gov) to help answer my section (vision assessment) for the group project
Other team members where responsible for their own part but we all collaborated and helped each other when needed
The feelings I felt was Nervousness stress and anxiety – this is because I do not have much experience with interviewing and being responsible for making sure that each question was good enough to best answer the questions i need for the project. However there was relief knowing that we had someone that was willing to spend as much time as we need, making sure all our questions are answered with as much detail as possible (this is because there was a strong relationship between Lura and Bruno) also stress from relying on others to make sure the project was completed to a high standard
For question 3 please go through the file starting with original group project to help answer this question
For question 4. Analysis Why did the project go the way it did? What contributed to the success and challenges? How well was the project managed and how could it have been improved? – the Project went really well in terms of the actual interview as there was a strong previous relationship between Laura (my group member) and Bruno Rodriguez (CEO) as they are family members. The only challenges were coming up with good enough questions and analyzing the answers and properly writing out the analysis to answer the question for each of our parts (in mt case – the vision assessment) we managed the work very well and efficiently by dividing each section and allocating a section to each group member this was a good and efficient way of doing the project however it could of been done better by taking a more collaborative approach by putting all of our minds onto one section at a time and conducting the analysis together – this would of allowed for a better flowing project and a more detailed and Indepth analysis
For question 5 (conclusions) the most important discoveries was things about working as a team and taking a deep dive into the life of someone Elses business and learning the skills to analysis, interview a business owner in a way that deconstructs their business journey to conduct analysis and please go through the file starting with original group project to help answer this question
5. Conclusions: What were the most important discoveries and lessons you learned from the project and why? These can relate to working in teams, the business or entrepreneur you researched, or reflections on entrepreneurship in general.
For question 6 make an appropriate conclusion
