of Writing
The module
Learning Outcomes for this assessment are as follows:
Learning Outcome 1: Appraise and apply the key concepts and theories in
academic literature associated with the role of critical reflection on
practice.
Learning
Outcome 2: Provide
synthesis, reflection on and evaluation of your personal, professional, and
academic journey.
Summary of Assessment Method:
A critical piece of writing on your own
personal and professional development and practice is required. This is
supported by a Personal Development Plan. This plan is to be evidenced from
practice, work/placement experience, careers development resources and
engagement in other relevant activities.
Assessment Content
Please note this is a personal reflective essay therefore
may be written in the first person.
Provide
a reflective and critical piece of writing which considers your personal and
professional development over the time you have been in higher education.
Draw on a range of academic
sources in your discussion including sources related to critical reflection.
Clearly
describe and analyse events, learning and activities that you have experienced
over the course of your studies. Critically reflect upon how these events have
shaped your learning and influenced your future plans, with reference to
critical theory and concepts.
Provide a
clear personal development plan and identify in your account how your goals
have been identified from critical reflection.
Provide
evidence to support the PDP and the goals/ actions you have taken in relation
to your personal and professional development.
