The escalating effects of climate change pose a threat to our global archaeological heritage, with funerary sites among the most vulnerable

Here is the essay proposal I wrote: The escalating effects of climate change pose a threat to our global archaeological
heritage, with funerary sites among the most vulnerable. These sites, crucial for
understanding past human cultures and societies, face unprecedented risks from
environmental changes. Erosion, flooding, and chemical alterations jeopardize these
irreplaceable resources’ integrity and survival. This paper aims to explore the
wide-ranging impacts of climate change on archaeological sites, spotlighting
specific challenges to funerary locations and proposing a blend of innovative,
collaborative strategies for their preservation. Through public engagement, citizen
science, and policy reform, there is potential to mitigate these threats and secure the
legacy of our shared human past for future generations.

Additional:
Make sure that you’re not just arguing about archaeological sites, in general, but that your focus is on the impact climate change will have on funerary sites. You could even tie in how it’s currently affecting modern cemeteries. Make sure you’re not just providing a laundry list of challenges/solutions, but advocating for a position. Also consider the counterarguments.
