Define assigned PICO statement and
it’s components.
b.
Provide clear, succinct goal/purpose
of the presentation.

Discuss the relevance to nursing.
2. Presentation of Evidence
a. Search/Inclusion Process: Outline key words, databases, and/or study selection process and
criteria. Discuss the names of the databases (for example, CINAHL with Full
Test, Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, PsychInfo, ProQuest, or Other) you used to
search for research literature related to your assigned PICOT formatted
question/statement/topic.
b. Synthesis Of Findings or Critique of Studies: Select at
least two peer-reviewed research articles related to your assigned PICO topic/statement/question.
Provide summary and evaluation of overall findings of the selected studies.
Discuss relevance to the nursing practice. Does the application of EBP challenge
and seek to shift current research or clinical practice paradigms utilizing
novel theoretical concepts, approaches, methodologies, instruments, or
interventions?
