I am currently working on my literature review for my thesis about. Here is the outline I am following:
- Global Warming (Definitions and Current Statistics) – 300 words
- This section serves as an introduction and context setting, providing basic definitions and current statistics related to global warming.
- Sustainability “Trend” in Global Markets – 400 words
- This part explores the broader trend of sustainability in global markets, setting the stage for why it’s relevant in aviation. Include emissions statistics of different indsutries. How policy makers are pushing for sustainability and how customer behaviour has recently shifted towards sustainability.
- Current State of the Aviation Industry in Terms of Sustainability – 600 words
- A significant portion should be dedicated here, as it directly relates to your thesis topic. This section should overview the current sustainability practices and challenges in aviation.
- Response: What is Being Done? – 600 words
- Allocate a substantial portion to explore changes in regulations, current trends, and innovations within the industry. This section bridges the gap between the problem (unsustainability of the industry) and the solution (SAF).
- Introduction to SAF – 800 words
- As the core part of your thesis, this section deserves the most attention. Discuss why switching to SAF is necessary, the feasibility, stakeholders involved, recent advances, news, and regulatory changes.
- Projected Impact of SAF on Airlines – 500 words
- Discuss the potential impacts of SAF on airlines, including cost efficiency, pricing strategies, and how it could reshape the industry.
- Customer Behaviour Within the Aviation Industry Over Time – 700 words
- Given the focus of your thesis on passenger responses, this section is crucial. Discuss how customer preferences, decision-making processes, and factors like cost, safety, and sustainability have evolved over time in the context of aviation.
I have already completed the first and last section of this outline. This means you dont have to do “global warming” and “Customer behaviour”.
