Exploring how coach-athlete relationships can impact mental health: an autoethnography.

Methodology
Method used to carry out research and collect data was qualitative methodology. I utilised Autoethnography of 5 diary entries to talk about past experiences from the age of 15-23 I have encountered with previous coaches in football(soccer) that have affected my mental health

Research questions
How do coaches impact mental health of an athlete?
Explain how different coaching styles can affects an athlete’s mental health?
Key points:
Touch upon how one type of coach-athlete relationship may have an impact on anxiety compared to one of depression
Talk about reflexivity in my qualitative research
Reflect on how different coaching styles impacted my mental health
Theory I want to use heavily linked to my results is the Jowett theory of the 3 C’s + 1
Talk about limitations in the research e.g how are my managing recall bias
When talking about data analysis mention about the importance of age and the power dynamics between coach and myself
