Assignment:
The purpose of this paper is to have you:
o Examine research on the topic stated in your research question
o Critique and analyze the research
o Draw some conclusions on that topic
- You may pick any topic related to adolescent sexual decision-making and sexual risktaking behavior. (If you are on the LGBTQ certification track – please pick something specific to LGBTQ)
- The topic should have relevance to your professional goals.
- Example: If you hope to be a drama therapist, you may want to explore drama therapy, adolescent sexual development and risk-taking behavior, and decisionmaking. The research question may be “What is the effect of a drama therapy program on the sexual behavior of high-risk adolescents?
- The paper has to be based on empirical research, which means you may not use articles that are just opinion and conjecture. You may use books but they also must be based on research so they would have footnotes and citations.
