Coursework title:
Provide a piece of critical writing exploring transition
and change in children’s lives together with the strategies available to
professionals in health, education and social care fields to promote resilience
and reduce risk.

This coursework is assessing Learning Outcomes 1 and 2:

Explore how and where transition in children’s
lives may present challenges for young children.
2.
Reflect on the notion of “the resilient child” and
present a critical review of the factors associated with the development of
resilience in childhood.
In order to meet the Learning Outcomes, you will be required to produce
a 3,000 word essay – the title for which can be found under ‘Description of the
Assessment’. Your essay will need to demonstrate your critical understanding of
issues surrounding transition and change in children’s lives. You will
demonstrate an analysis of the critical impact of transitions and the ways in
which professionals across education, health and social care can support
children experiencing transitions. Your essay will be based on a detailed
understanding of the theory of resilience and its relationship with
transitions.
