Step 1: Create your graph using Stata. Be sure to use clearly-labeled axes and a title at the top, and that the graph is generally visually appealing. Also use a “note” (under the “Titles” tab) to state the source(s) of the data (just the variables included in the graph) and any other information that you think the reader should know (such as the year of the data).

Step 2: Save the graph as a .png file (using “save as” from the File menu) and insert this image into a Word document. (Alternatively, you can copy/paste it into a Word document, but you might want to save it instead so that you can access it later!)
