purpose of this assignment is for you to provide an overview of your research
experience and knowledge gained through the research project course.
Instructions: For additional clarity, please review the rubric for the
project as well. The final PPT should include all of the major subheadings from
your paper. Any issues noted during grading should be addressed. Sections to
include area as follows
1. Title Slide: Project title, name, university, date.
2. Introduction: Introduce your topic, purpose of your project, and goals for
your presentation: i.e., what do you want the audience to learn (1 Slide).

3. Background and Significance: Provide background information on your topic
and review its significance to those impacted. Because some of you have
selected research topics outside of nursing, please discuss how the research

4. Critique Your Research Project: Include a review of why it is pertinent to
critique research (1 Slide). Add

5. Identification of the enablers, barriers, and
strategies for the development and implementation of the research and/or
scholarly project, indicating possible solutions for the barriers (1 Slide). Add a summary of this in the notes section

6. Discussion of the outcomes expected from this
project (e.g. implications for future research, scholarship, and evidence-based
practice) (1 Slide). Add a summary

7. Evaluation of the overall value and
contributions this research or scholarly project will make to consumers,
nursing and other health professionals, administrators, and policy makers. (1

8. Role of Advanced Practice Nurses: Evaluate the role of advance practice nurses
in relation to the research project. Consider personal objectives achieved
related to advancement of research knowledge and competencies. If you worked on

practice nursing. (1-2 Slides). Add

9. Reflection: This section should include your reflections regarding your
research experience this semester. Include your views on the challenges that

10. Conclusion: This should include a summary of your entire
paper. (1 Slide). Add a summary

11. Quality of the Presentation: Follow rules for proper PPT slide development.
Use a consistent theme, background, and colors. Do not overload each slide with
text. This is why you are speaking. Presentation should be visually appealing
with limited text on each slide. Consider the 7 x 7 rule: no more than 7 lines
of text with no more than 7 words on each line.
12. Length: The PPT should be a MINIMUM of 10
content slides and a MAXIMUM of 15 content
slides (not including title and reference slides). Failure to meet
this minimum length requirement will result in the loss of points.
13. Sources: You should use a MINIMUM of five
(5) scholarly peer-reviewed sources. These sources should be published
within the last five (5) years. Sources
should be properly formatted in a reference list.
