Drama Therapy as a Tool for Enhancing Emotional Regulation Skills in Children and Adolescents

Hi,

I’ve completed an article on Drama Therapy as a Tool for Enhancing Emotional Regulation Skills in Children and Adolescents as part of my master’s module. I’ve attached the guidelines, a PowerPoint presentation from my course, and the BPS Guidelines since I plan on submitting the article.

Instructions:

Critical Discussion Paper
Weight: 40%
Word count: 1,000 words
You are required to write an article (1,000 words) that critically discusses a theory, area or issue covered in the lectures of the module Psychological Therapies: Applications and Effectiveness. Please see the lecture timetable and lecture slides to remind yourself of what this includes. You will follow the formatting requirements of the British Psychological Society (BPS) guidelines for articles submitted to PsyPAG The Quarterly – a magazine for postgraduate students in psychology and related fields. The aim of this assessment is to equip you with skills for science communication and knowledge exchange. Specifically, you are encouraged to write in a style that is accessible to postgraduate psychology students, which is the target audience of PsyPAG The Quarterly. We want to use your time with us to strengthen your capacity to apply theory to practice. The discussion paper will strengthen that capacity. The goal of the assignment is also to develop relevant transferable academic skills that can be utilised in other assignments, such as the poster presentation that you will be doing for the module Applied Research Methods II (WOFM984/994). We will encourage and guide future submission of your Discussion Paper (if of sufficient quality) to the PsyPAG Quarterly magazine.

Content Your discussion paper should include both key details of the topic area (assume that the marker has not read the research you are discussing) and a critique of the findings presented. The critique should go beyond the strengths and limitations already stated by the authors in the papers. This critique can include a range of aspects from methodological quality to how the paper links to the wider literature and lecture content on the MSc.

Formatting Please follow the BPS guidelines for submitting an article to the Psychology Postgraduate Affairs (PsyPAG) The Quarterly magazine. These guidelines can be found at https://www.bps.org.uk/member-networks/psypag – click The Quarterly on the menu tab. Coursework rubric The standard coursework rubric will apply as found in Table 1. Note that for this assignment the tone of scholarly register should be consistent with the intended audience for your discussion paper – postgraduate psychology students reading a student magazine.

Basically, I have completed the article, but my professor told me that the more references, the better. I would suggest adding up to 15 references. Another thing I want to edit is that I’m not sure if this was done the correct way. Is there supposed to be an argument? Because she told me I have to fully discuss/argue my points, and if I can’t do that, then I should exclude the reference. I’ve never done a discussion paper/article before, specifically following BPS guidelines and BPS house style. I’m also not sure about the subtitles used. Please edit this article to make it look interesting to read, critically discussing my topic.
