I’ve watched this film, have followed this artist extensively and eben have the topic to write about. I just need someone to put it together. Simple.

This artist is highly unconventional and ecclectic. The whole film centers around his journey to discover ‘himself’ after taking a DNA test. The premise is that he travels to all these regions that he discovers are part of his DNA and finds inspiration. That’s not really a norm- analyze the potential ethical inplications of that. Ex: Cultural appropriation, artis vision vs cultural and political sensibility, etc.
There’s a moment in the film where he is in china and ends up finding a singer in a bar. That’s not typically how artist source talent.
