Top 10 Presentation:
This presentation with your Team of 5 or 6 person peer team member will be on the top 10 theories and scientists in your team’s pick of a Psychology discipline area to review for your peers. Make sure to include the Top 10 scientists and theories in the psychological domain. You can use diagrams and/or videos on the theories, experiments, and psychological phenomena discovered. Psychology Discipline areas include Developmental, Cognitive, Social psychology, Abnormal, Learning, Behaviorism, Sensation & Perception, Industrial Organizational, etc. The Top 10 Team presentations will be a review preparation for the Senior Core Final Exam in this course. Each team member needs to upload their team presentation into the Canvas site for grading. Each team member needs to put their name on the slides they designed (minimum of two slides per team member). Make sure to put your name on the slides you created in the Team Presentation.
Look at the grading rubric for the Team presentation.
Make sure to do an APA citations on the Title page of the article author and article with your name as an article reviewer. Have APA style citations (author’s last name, date of publication) throughout the PowerPoint presentation with a final slide with APA style references. See the rubric for grading points.
Although your slides are very insightful, our assignment does not include using articles from our textbook. What Dr. Doorn wants us to do is choose an area of psychology (we all chose abnormal psychology) and find the most influential and important scientists and theories from that area. Since our group consists of 5 people, we each have chosen 2 different scientists and will include why they are important and what theories they developed. For example, one of mine is B. F. Skinner. So, I am researching all of his contributions to psychology and including all of that into my slides, along with my other scientist as well. Two good scientists (and their theories) that you could consider doing yours on could be Hippocrates and Carl Rogers. These two scientists are VERY important to psychology and there are TONS of information on both of them. You will need to include the theories they came up with, information on them specifically, and why they are so important to psychology.
