Paper Highlighting Rana Plaza Collapse Disruption that affected the fashion industry

* Effectively research and analyze effects of a disruption on the fashion system using current events (past 30 years) name the disruption to be examined and assessed, also explaining why this had value (what can be newly understood or uncovered).

MY TOPIC: RANA PLAZA COLLAPSE

Paper 2 is to be between 1750 and 2000 words.

INCLUDE:

   State the problem or thesis (something that needs to be known, understood, examined) that is being researched, compared, etc.

  Contextualize that problem or issue (provide  background)

  State questions that can help to explore the problem. You may avoid stating them as questions in your paper, but these guide your inquiry, so I suggest that you use questions in the beginning steps to aid you in getting at facts.

  Examine and discuss the problem’s aspects (or the aspects of the thesis) that you are investigating.

  Summarize what the evidence you have found reveals or shows. You are interpreting the evidence you have collected from reliable sources, so interpret! But, do not write an opinion piece, or use ‘I” in this work.

      These last two may be your conclusion, or you may be interpreting as you work through your sub-topics.

Thesis: The disruption of the Rana Plaza collapse in India is an issue that brought great attention to the issue of sustainability,fair treatment towards offshoring manufacturers, as well as Corporate Social Responsibilities amongst brands to ensure that they uphold accountability for the wages they are paying their manufacturers. This event has brought a greater enforcement of accountability amongst luxury, streetwear , fast fashion and athletic wear brands.

Nina Bürklin’s book is useful information because it provides examples of how current branding is remodeled to reduce the impacts of waste through methods of limiting inventory to create a subsequent amount of production that meets the desired sales. Forecasting research is necessary to keep track of what is of consumer interest.
